Constantin Brâncuși Day

Sculptor, painter and photographer  Brâncuși was a true pioneer of modernism, and one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th-century. Often called the patriarch of modern sculpture he saw the world with heart and soul as well as his mind.

He was the first to establish that art did not have to look like something, in contrast, it was a route to understanding and connection to the world.

Constantly showing us that the world consists of grace, beauty and simplicity combined with our deepest need to express ourselves.

Pictured, is the Infinite Column, in Targu Jiu, Romania. This is his most famous work, a national symbol, and can be seen in the same park, along with the impressive Silence Table and The Kiss Gate.

My favorite of his works is “Flight”, an incredible sculpture. Do take the time to check out his works, even if just on google images. Your day will be so much better!
